  3. Notes. As part of the survey, youth are asked the number of days during the 30 days preceding the survey that they smoked cigarettes. Those reporting that they smoked cigarettes on one or more days were considered current smokers. Similarly, youth were asked the number of days they used any other form of tobacco during the 30 days preceding the survey.
